Using the New BMI Calculator

The new, more truthful way to calculate BMI is based on a formula developed by a British mathematician, which makes shorter people appear heavier and taller people slimmer. The new method takes the distortion resulting from height into consideration better.

Enter your height and weight in the fields above. The calculator displays your Body Mass Index and a description of what the BMI indicates.

Please remember that BMI calculated in this way is also only an approximate indicator of weight. BMI is always affected by physique, muscularity and other possible factors.

Compare the result to the traditionally calculated BMI.
